Former Vice President and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on June 23, 2026, dismissed President William Ruto’s allegation that he grabbed National Youth Service (NYS) land in Yatta, maintaining that the disputed property is privately owned land located among parcels held by private individuals and not public land. Kalonzo stated that NYS had indicated it has no interest in the matter and argued that the issue has been misrepresented despite previous legal determinations.
Kalonzo said the dispute was settled by a High Court ruling that found he acquired the land lawfully and followed the required procedures.
