Migori County Governor Ochilo Ayacko on June 23, 2026 signed an MoU with SHOFCO to establish a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) safe house in Migori County. The facility targets protection and support for GBV survivors, with the county government set to deploy personnel and manage daily operations to provide shelter, counseling, medical care, and reintegration services for victims across the county.
The partnership also expands to education support through bursary programs for needy and deserving students in Migori County to improve access to learning opportunities.
