Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale and Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr. Ouma Oluga visited Kakamega Teaching and Referral Level 6 Hospital to inspect the construction of a four-storey hospital block with a 350-bed capacity.
The hospital is being developed as a regional referral and medical training hub, featuring an oncology centre, maternal and neonatal wing, renal and critical care units, 24-hour emergency services, advanced diagnostic facilities and a public commercial plaza. It will support training for Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology and other institutions, with more than 5,000 jobs expected upon completion.
