The County Government of Kakamega, through the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) Programme, received water supply pipes from Sienu Company Limited on June 20, 2026, to support last-mile water connectivity in Isukha East Ward, Shinyalu Sub-County. The project will expand access to clean and safe water for households.
The water infrastructure project is expected to benefit more than 700,000 residents in Shinyalu Sub-County by reducing distances travelled to fetch water.
