The Kenya Power Foundation on June 20, 2026 donated KSh1.5 million for the construction of a modern dining hall at Kipyebo Primary School, located 15–20 kilometres from Tot along the Elgeyo Marakwet–West Pokot border. The day and boarding school serves about 400 learners in a region frequently affected by cattle rustling and banditry.
The project aims to address the lack of a dining facility that had forced learners to eat meals under trees in harsh weather and unhygienic conditions.
