Kerio Valley University College (KVUC) has been officially gazetted following a Gazette Notice dated June 18, 2026, clearing the way for the institution to begin operations in September 2026 in Elgeyo Marakwet County. The university college will initially operate from Tambach Teachers Training College (TTC) premises, with the TTC remaining in operation and not being abolished.
KVUC will establish major campuses at Mokoro in Kerio Valley, Chebara Agricultural Training Centre (ATC), and Kimwarer (Fluorspar). The gazettement follows an assessment visit conducted by the Commission for University Education (CUE) in October 2025 at Tambach TTC as part of the approval process for establishing the university college.
