PS Dr. Ouma Oluga and the Ministry of Health welcomed the launch of the IMARA Sickle Cell Framework during the World Sickle Cell Day 2026 commemoration held at Bunyala TVET College in Busia County.
The framework is a partnership between the Ministry of Health and Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies aimed at expanding access to safe blood services and advanced transfusion care for people living with sickle cell disease in Kenya.
