Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development Alice Wahome on June 19, 2026 opened Nyandarua County’s first Lands Office in Ol Kalou and issued 2,700 title deeds to beneficiaries from Ol Kalou Blocks 1, 2, 4 and 6, and families from Rurii, Nyairoko, Melangine, Ngorika and Sabugo colonial villages.
The new office has already received 296,957 of Nyandarua’s 432,552 land records transferred from the former Nyahururu registry, representing about 75 percent of the county’s records. The facility will provide land registration, survey, valuation and adjudication services locally.
