Kenya will host the 4th Responsible AI in the Military Domain (REAIM) Summit in Nairobi in April 2027. This follows an announcement made by Ambassador Philip Thigo on behalf of Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya on June 19, 2026, during the AI, Security and Ethics Conference in Geneva.
The summit will bring together governments, defence institutions, industry, academia and international organizations to advance the practical implementation of responsible artificial intelligence in military settings. Discussions will focus on capacity building, institutional readiness, international cooperation, and the role of AI in security, peace and international security.
