Assistant Inspector General of Police Johana Kiplagat Tonui on Friday, June 19, 2026, officially assumed command of the General Service Unit (GSU) during a change-of-command ceremony held at the GSU Headquarters in Ruaraka, Nairobi. Tonui took over leadership of the elite paramilitary police formation from Senior Assistant Inspector General of Police Ranson Lolmodoni.
