NPOC ACCESS Project handsover TB Diagnostic Equipment to Kiambu Level 5 Hospital

The Centre for Health Solutions, Kenya Centre for Health Solutions, Kenya NPOC ACCESS Project on 18 June 2026 completed official handover of study equipment at Kiambu County Level 5 Hospital, Kenya, under the supervision of Kiambu County Department of Health led by County Director of Health Dr Hillary Kagwa Hillary Kagwa. The equipment is aimed at improving speed and accuracy of tuberculosis case detection and expanding access to diagnostic services.

Training of research assistants on study procedures and use of the diagnostic technologies remains ongoing across participating sites and is scheduled to continue through the week to support full implementation of the study. The initiative is focused on strengthening TB detection capacity and advancing research-driven innovation in tuberculosis control within Kenya’s health system.
