Principal Secretary for the State Department for Culture, the Arts and Heritage Ummi Bashir on June 17, 2026 represented Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services Hanna W Cheptumo at the Connecting Codes Conference, a forum bringing together scholars, librarians, technocrats, and technology experts to examine the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital humanities, and evolving knowledge systems. The forum looked into strengthening knowledge creation, access, and preservation through emerging technologies within the digital transformation space.
