Presdient William Samoei Ruto met Lee Jae Myung on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France and held talks on advancing Kenya and Republic of Korea cooperation in trade, ICT, energy, agriculture, labour mobility and maritime employment.
They discussed expansion of KEXIM and KOICA presence in Nairobi, improved market access for Kenyan tea and coffee, wider labour agreements including teacher placements, and implementation of a seafarers’ certificate recognition deal to boost global employment opportunities for Kenyan maritime workers.
