Loima Constituency MP Statement On Protest at The NG-CDF Offices
Loima Constituency MP Statement On Protest at the NG-CDF Offices.

My attention has been drawn to the politically instigated protests staged earlier today at the Loima NG-CDF office in Lorugum. I want to make it clear that this is not a spontaneous expression by the residents of Loima constituency but rather a political witch hunt, orchestrated by elements within the county government.
Following the recent raid conducted by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) at the residence of some of the top Turkana county government officials in relation to alleged embezzlement and misappropriation of public funds. The Governor, Jeremiah Ekamais Lomorukai Napotikan and his cronies have had numerous attempts to divert attention of the public by shifting blames on other Leaders with futile efforts to weep emotions and seek sympathy. Their aim is to create a narrative from the ongoing EACC investigations that I (Hon Dr Protus AKUJAH) is behind the EACC probe.
The Governor is desperately trying to cover up his mess instead of cooperating with the authorities and allowing due process to take its course. He has taken an alarming and unethical approach of mobilizing innocent citizens who are oblivious of his criminal doings to disrupt and hinder the investigation efforts of the EACC.
It is disheartening to witness the manipulation and exploitation of innocent citizens for the sake of covering up illicit activities in Turkana county government in a bid to evade justice.
The misuse of power and resources to obstruct justice is a gross violation of the trust placed in our elected officials and undermines the very foundation of our democratic system. It is imperative that we stand together as a community and demand accountability and transparency from those entrusted with our resources.
I urge the Turkana community to join me in condemning these actions and call for a thorough and impartial investigation into the allegations against Governor and his henchmen. Our voices must be heard, and we must hold our leaders accountable for their actions.
Sincerely,
HON DR. PROTUS EWESIT AKUJAH, MP
LOIMA CONSTITUENCY.
