KAM CEO statement on the EU-Kenya Business Forum 2025

My name is Tobias Alando, the Chief Executive of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to the Kenya-EU Business Forum, scheduled for 12-13 May 2025.

It's a great opportunity for us to have a conversation with key businessmen from Europe, and it's a great opportunity for us to have a conversation about this new market - a market of $16 trillion and 500 million people.

We are in a dynamic world. Things are changing in terms of trade, and opportunities are also presenting themselves. This is our opportunity to have a conversation with key policymakers around the world.

In Kenya - particularly in Europe - embassies will be represented, and senior officials, senior businessmen from all these countries will be coming to have a conversation with us.

It's an opportunity for our country. It's an opportunity for Africa.
