Standard Chartered Kenya Notice On 629 Pension Claims Settlement

Pursuant to the Judgment of the Retirement Benefits Appeals Tribunal No. 8 of 2021: Abdalla Osman & 628 Others vs. The Retirement Benefits Authority & 11 Others dated 28 April 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the "judgment") and the directions issued by the Retirement Benefits Appeals Tribunal on 22 May 2025 in respect of the computations to be paid out to the Appellants in the case, we wish to notify all Appellants in the case as follows:

We will commence the process of collecting the requisite information of the Appellants in the above appeal For the purpose of verification and subsequently processing claims arising out of the judgement from Monday, 22 September 2025 at Almary Green Business Park, off U.S.I.U Road, off Thika Superhighway, Nairobi, daily on weekdays between 9am and 3pm.

All Appellants in the above appeal are required to present themselves physically at Almary Green Business Park with the following documents:

1. Original National Identification Card;
2. Kenya Revenue Authority PIN;
3. Original Debit Card or cancelled cheque to verify Bank account information;
4. Proof of employment with Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited;

Please submit ANY relevant employment related documents, such as:

a. Pension Statement
b. Letter of Employment
c. Last Payslip or P9 Form
d. Exit Letter or Certificate of Service

5. Certificate of Existence (where applicable); and
6. Two recent colour passport size photos.

Where an Appellant is deceased, the estate administrators/executors are required to avail themselves physically at Almary Green Business Park with the following documents:

1. Original Death Certificate;
2. Original Letters of Administration or Grant of Probate;
3. Court Certified Copy of the Letters of Administration or Grant of Probate;
4. Proof of relationship to the Deceased (e.g. birth certificate or marriage certificate); and
5. Proof of employment with Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited;

Please submit ANY relevant employment related documents, such as:

a. Pension Statement
b. Letter of Employment
c. Last Payslip or P9 Form
d. Exit Letter or Certificate of Service

For Dependants or Beneficiaries please provide:

1. Original National Identification Card;
2. Kenya Revenue Authority PIN;
3. Original Debit Card or cancelled cheque to verify Bank account information;
4. Certificate of Existence (where applicable); and
5. Two recent colour passport size photos.

Important instructions on copies of Original Documents:

Please bring two copies of each original document requested to facilitate processing claims arising out of the judgment.
